My 7 yr old son loves it!
Though there are many reviews already, I must say how much my 7 yr old son loves this CD! It is wonderful. He was listening to the Primary Songbook everyday and wanted some different music to listen too that was “appropriate” and I bought this. He loves it. He will not sing much in Primary or FHE, or school, but when his door is closed I can hear him singing to this CD. Great songs, words, and he is learning! Thank you for carrying this CD. Any good we can get into them (kids) without pushing and shoving is wonderful!

Music is truly a work of God on Earth.
I ABSOLUTELY love this CD. It really brought the Prophet to life for me, not by giving accounts of him alone, but by giving accounts from other sources, like in Candels. That really got to me because it was an eyewitness account of a boy who saw what was happening and listend to the spirit. And the song about Emma really got to me too, because it was done from the point of view of someone who had a testimony of that great woman. This CD is a great way to share the history of the church along with wonderful music. Music truly can be inspired of God, and I know that this work surely was guided by the Lord’s hand.

Thank you for “playing the music within you”
I really give it more like ten stars! Someone who owned it lent it to me. I listened, but was not aware of the huge impact it was about to have on me. ,
Even though sometimes life can become difficult and we all have trials, it made the prophet’s life and the life of his dear sweet wife more profoundly real in my own life—-their trials and their blessings unfolded in a life-like way to me. ,
I was at a fireside where the Diamond Rio keyboardist was there and they presented some of the songs from this production. I was touched deeply then, but when I listened to it in my car, by myself, on my way to work——-I felt the spirit very strongly. ,
THANK YOU to everyone involved in this inspired work…..thank you for “playing the music within you”……I owe you an unpayable debt. ,
I’m about to purchase my own copy……. ,
Thank you.

Probably the best LDS album I own
As a music critic, giving an album five stars doesn’t happen often. This CD is not your average LDS album – the production, dynamic range, recording, and musicians are all world class. Bryan Sutton – a world class bluegrass guitarist, the Diamond Rio keyboardist, and SheDaisy and Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband producer Jason Deere are some of those who made this album. All of the songs are catchy and you’ll find yourself wanting to listen to it again and again. Heartfelt and inspirational without being sappy.

Get It! Get It! Get it!
This has got to be the best, most inpired piece of work I have ever listened to (and we own a lot of LDS music)! Our family simply cannot put it down. The tunes are catchy, the message divine, and I have gained a whole new love and appreciation for the Prophet Joseph. I shared it with a non-member coworker with whom I’m sharing the gospel – he couldn’t put it down either! This is a must have for any collection.

Run, don’t walk to the nearest LDS bookstore!
I’m just sorry five stars is the highest rating! On a scale of one to ten, this one is off the chart! I saw it performed live for the first time just last night, and I was blown away. The musicians who put this together defintely had divine help. I’ve never felt such a spirit before. This is a fitting tribute to a remarkable man. Every member should own this CD!
If I may be allowed to brag a little, I met Dan Truman and his wife Wendy just after I moved to Nashville, and we were in the same ward. In fact, Dan once played for me when I sang a solo in Sacrament Meeting! I was so happy for him when Diamond Rio had their first hit record, and I am very proud of their continued success. In a business that can often put family values aside, the Trumans have never faltered in their tesimony, and this beautiful production is further proof of that.

I was privileged to hear Jason and Dan and a few others perform these songs in Ogden. I wish I had gone to the earlier show, too, so I could have seen them twice! It was just a good ‘ol country jam!
Of course I had to get the CD and I’ve recommended it to everyone I know. Wonderful music! I’ve been memorizing it so I can play it on my guitar and add it to my favorites to sing.
I’m not a big LDS music fan but this – this was superb! Jason – I would love to hear some more LDS music from you.

Uncovering Hidden Talents
Though I’m an amatuer LDS muscian, I’ve not been a big fan of Mormon-produced music. What I’ve sampled is either somewhat interesting re-arranged music from the hymnal, Mormon versions of worldly pop performers, or LDS “Elevator Music”. Neither am I a big country music fan. This album is by far, the best album from LDS performers to become available in a long time. The music shows talent, originality, and high quality production values. The lyric stories allow for enjoyment, pondering, and tears. It is not just another seminary soundtrack. You deserve this album.

Nashville Tribute to the Prophet truly moved me and stirred my emotions for great music and the church history.
I’m a big fan of Country Music and Church History. Our family visited Ohio and New York church sites this passed spring. Listening to this tribute to the Prophet Joseph stirred emotions of memories of those sites. I could picture the events in my mind from listening to “American Dreams.” Listening to “Emma”, I could feel her emotions. Porter Rockwell was indeed a “Modern-day Samson.” “Lamb to the Slaughter” truly moved me. Great CD and I will tell all my friends.
